- The injury causes numbness, hyperesthesia, and burning pain dorsolaterally on the hand.
- Nerve injury is caused by trauma, venipuncture, surgery, or after nerve injury in connection with injection for de Quervain's tenosynovitis.
- The diagnosis is made with neurography.
